I am so proud to finally unveil my new blog! I couldn’t have done it without the fabulous talent of Renee at Ribbons of Red and am so grateful to her for her eye, her expertise, her vision and her patience. With this new blog, I hope to find the time to post more sessions than I have before, as well as share some of my personal work.
As I tried to determine which post to lead with on the new blog, I decided nothing was closer to my heart than my own family. This is why I ever became interested (or obsessed) with photography and why I continue to love what I do. To me, a photograph captures a specific moment in time. It captures the feeling and emotion to which one can always return. It tells a story for generations to come to be able to share.
We recently went on an amazing family vacation, which I’d like to think we’ll remember forever. As each day passes though, the memories and details of the trip will fade slightly. With photographs, however, I will always be able to go back to Ellie’s joy at finding a large conch shell in the ocean, the freedom Reed felt as he paddle boarded out in the sea by himself, and Walker’s gut-bursting laughter as he tried to knock Reed off the kayak in our family viking olympics. The moments we share together as a family are priceless and I hope by chronicling our lives with photographs, that the pictures will always tell our story….a story about family, about life and about joy, respect, peace, laughter, loyalty and unconditional love.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog.
